About Us
Welcome everyone!We, Jessica Biewers and Manon Blancafort, are happy to introduce you to our ConflicTalks Podcast.We are both International Relations’ students finishing our Master’s degree in Brussels. Trough our Master’s thesis, Manon has decided to specialise in sexual violence as a strategic instrument of war in conflict areas and Jessica, in child soldiers rehabilitation in armed conflicts.We wanted to explore very interesting and specific challenges faced in conflicts nowadays, that is why we decided to create ConflicTalks together.So, what is it all about? What is ConflicTalks exactly?
Our Work
🏳 ConflicTalks is a co-hosted podcast conducted by two International Relations students, with the help of qualified experts.Jessica Biewers and Manon Blancafort are offering you this interview-oriented podcast to better understand the way conflicts are addressed all over the world.To get there, several analyses will be picked up from different disciplines covering the wide scope of what international relations are. From deep socio-psychological causes that effectively explain humanitarian and human rights law violations at the individual level in conflict areas, to new challenges regarding international law of armed conflicts.ConflicTalks is basically designed for advanced students of law, politics, humanities, psychology and social sciences overall. It is also intended for academics and researchers, members of the legal profession, national and international civil servants, and members of NGOs. But everyone feeling concerned and curious about such topics are also very much welcome.🏁 ConflicTalks is about bringing together different parts of the conflict-related scope in international relations, from institutional conflict resolution mechanisms to humanitarian intervention directly on the ground, including psychologists.
